Rishi ("we," "our," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our iOS application.
The short version: We don't collect, store, or share any personal data. Rishi is designed to work entirely on your device.
Information We Don't Collect
Rishi does not collect:
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
- Location data
- Device identifiers
- Usage analytics or tracking data
- Any data that leaves your device
Local Data Storage
All your preferences, favorites, and app settings are stored locally on your device using iOS standard storage mechanisms. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
This locally stored data includes:
- Your favorite quotes
- Theme preferences (light/dark mode)
- Notification settings
- Selected topics and sources
- Streak data
No Third-Party Services
Rishi does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not use:
- Google Analytics or similar analytics platforms
- Advertising networks
- Social media tracking pixels
- Any services that collect user data
Notifications
If you enable notifications, they are scheduled and delivered entirely through Apple's notification system. We do not have a server that sends push notifications, and we cannot see whether or when you interact with notifications.
Sharing Features
When you use the share feature to create quote images, the sharing is handled by iOS's built-in share sheet. We do not have access to what you share or with whom.
Children's Privacy
Rishi does not collect any data from anyone, including children. The app is suitable for all ages and contains only educational and inspirational content from classical texts.
Data Deletion
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all Rishi data by:
- Using the "Reset All Data" option in the app's Settings
- Uninstalling the app from your device
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. Since we don't collect any contact information, we cannot notify you of changes directly—we encourage you to review this page periodically.
